covers .2 hour comic

everyday hero page 60

Here is the glorious finale of everyday heroes, Chapter 3! After I had my vacation (I would call it, if I had not while still working on other projects, but still it has felt like a holiday ...) I finished, it goes on even here.

. PS: This site is dedicated to Oliver Mielke, the Edith-to-home-bringer. May the good karma flowing!

Garrity column on Comixology

following (sometimes controversial) theses are from Shaenon K. Garrity , who runs a column on Comixology.com. I have roughly translated and shortened the points that interest me particularly highlighted. I would be interested in their sources, as some forecasts seem quite daring. However, it is also hard to disagree with me, I even so some of the trends observed. The question is, as always, not whether the developments are good or bad, but how we handle it.

  • first Comic strips in newspapers are dead: There are comic strips, but only in web comic and anthology formats.
  • second Monthly expenses are dead: The traditional American format will disappear from lack of quality and significant advantages over other forms of publication.
  • third There is no fixed format: The Web's fault.
  • 4th The readership is infinitely fragmented: There is a massive number of songs, but almost no one left to really knows everybody.
  • 5th There is still a general canon: The consists of: Calvin & Hobbes, Bone, Naruto, Death Note, Watchmen.
  • 6th Super heroes are no more comic characters: They populate movies, games, etc. The cartoon characters are human.
  • 7th Manga has changed everything: However it is as an end to the hype, because mass is only in a fraction of class.
  • 8th The boundary between readers and creative in is thin: Poste on DeviantArt, opens up a blog, put sketchbooks in communities and you'll get some publicity. On the Web, everyone is famous to fifteen people.
  • 9th There are mostly girls: professionals as readers.
  • 10th And they get better.

Cannot Connect Pokemon World Onl

future of comics. competency profile for Eisner comic

A reading of Will Eisner's "Comics and Sequential Art" remains my view always depend on that chart. The range of knowledge, even if it is only a visual understanding, a comic artist / comic book writer to bring (ideally the same person) must think I am still quite intimidating.
The comic book artist tends to be a generalist, of a wide spectrum of interests and abilities must cover to be able to deliver satisfactory results. Unfortunately I always feel that this issue is scant attention to the readers and producers, and is not sufficiently appreciated. However, the range of options and ensures that the comic creation is always a challenging vocation.
