Manto Transalpin
In a nice, romantic atmosphere on Saturday, 08/08/2009 The installation "Manto transalpin" by Silvia Wienefoet on the "moon beach" Hofmannstr. / Kistlerhofstr corner. inaugurated. A stage-like terrace in the middle of a vast wasteland points towards the Alps, as if one could actually see them. Then there are deck chairs and sun umbrellas. The situation is reminiscent of the sun terrace of a mountain pasture, or to one of many city beaches. However, it remains calm, friendly manner invites you to linger without being too spectacular or be crowded. It seems strange: a mountain pasture in the middle Obersendling?
Looking at the deck chairs closer, you see embroidered names and ages of people. "Edel, 62" example is at one and including a short text about the wait. These are excerpts from interviews with old people Wienefoet fact, almost accidentally in the street, at the hardware store or the Post has done.
Installation is publicly available and can be used for calls for a lunch break, to relax or as a meeting place. It is built daily from 10 to 20 clock.
